TGIF! Boy, Do I Mean It!

January 30, 2009

TGIF! Boy, do I really, really mean it this week!

I like my new job and all, but it’s usually fast-paced, which makes for a rather intense (and often stressful) day. My old job was nothing like that! I’m really not complaining– I wanted a job like this. My mind and body just need to get used to the new expectations. The fast-pace, however, does make the day fly by!

Anyway, I am very happy that the weekend is just about here, so I can fully relax! I’ve already decided that I have a hot date tonight with my PJ, a glass of wine, and episodes of How I Met Your Mother!

This mornings oatmeal: banana-coconut-walnut! In the mix: oats, banana, walnuts, oat milk, and ground flaxseed meal, all topped with shredded coconut and two scoops of Barney Butter. De-lish!

Check out Bruce in the background! He’s enjoying his new home! 8-)

Question of the Day

If you could, would you relive your college days?

(If you’re in college, what do you like best about college life?)

I currently am in college and love it. There are times when I’m so stressed out I want to cry/pull out my hair, but the nights out with my favorite peope make everything worth it. Out on a Thursday night? Sure, why not. Up all night watching Sex and the City dvd’s? Absolutely.

I want to have a date with YOU tonight (pjs, wine, HIMYM?!). Sounds awesome.

I think I would relive college if I could, but I would be more outgoing and confident, and maybe even have jointed a sorority (I rushed 3 times, but couldn’t commit)! And I’d want to work harder at school AND basketball. But, then again, I love my life now and maybe I wouldn’t have gotten here if I’d done it differently.

How about you, Tina?

Fast days are the best, as long as you still get to leave at a reasonable time.
Your oats today looks especially amazing :)
I loved college and I’ve made mistakes (read: chased stupid boys) but I wouldn’t change any of it… and I’m happy with my adult life now :D

Heck yeah I would relive college! I try to make life as much like it as possible, but then again, I wasn’t really a wild party animal or anything.

I love your Friday not plans by the way. Sounds perfect to me. :D

I would totally go back to college, I had some great times there-it was so much better than high school!

breakfast sure looks great!…if I could relive my college days, I would – but I would definitely do it differently the second time around

I LOVE HIMYM! I would be the mother of Ted’s babies in a heartbeat.

Actually…I sound weird but I would probably not relive college. I did love having all my friends close (in proximity) to me, and loved sleeping in on some days, but I really struggled with my body image/ED during college so it doesn’t hold the best of memories. I’m actually having more fun now…is that crazy or what???

I have no desire to relive the university days I’ve already had. I’m going back to school, but it won’t be reliving the past. Frankly, I’ve had alot more fun after university than during.

@Rose: Ummmmm… just kidding! :) I like getting out of work at 4:30, but I’m still not used to the evening workouts. My energy level is so low then! I might try working out at Harvard’s gym early in the morning.

I would have gone out of state instead of local (somewhere with NICE weather) and stayed in a dorm

I would relive my college days because it was so much fun with great friends. BUT I would do so much differently health-wise. I had so much time to workout and do active, fun things, but instead I ate horribly and was a big lazy bum.

I don’t miss college days at all. I love being settled in my career not stressing about how to balance school, work, dating, etc!

I’m in college right now. I love the independence but at the same time it has been rough for me, realizing that I am actually an adult and have actual responsibilities. I really am not the typical college student. I need sleep, I miss my food, I have tons of homework, and only go out when all of it is done. And while I like my roommate, it has been quite the transition. But I do realize that these responsibilities are nothing compared to what adult life involves. I try to take advantage of all of the great opportunities I have to become my own person. I’m trying to be more social. And I’m also studying to become a dietician so I do have my entire career to look forward to!

This is going to sound really selfish, but my favorite part of being in college is that I am on no one else’s schedule but my own. I do what I want when I want. I know this is a rare situation in the real world…

Teen, my college days were a little later in life…I wouldn’t relive them at all! However, the PRE-college days were a blasty. :)
So glad it’s now food-focused Saturday for you. Have a great wknd!
