Paris, June 2006

Hi, guys. Instead of my usual dinner post, I’ve decided to take you on a trip down memory lane. Plus, I am eating oatmeal with wheat berries for dinner (just like breakfast), which isn’t really that exciting. You aren’t missing much, and I figured you would like to see old pics from Paris much more!

Paris

Mal and I both graduated from our Masters programs in the same year, so to celebrate, we took a vacation to Paris, France. It was seriously a trip of a lifetime!! :-D

I’m one of those go-go-go people when I am on vacation. I’d prefer to see the sights than simply relax, so we did every touristy thing imaginable while we were there– the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Luxembourg Gardens, the Louve, Musée d’Orsay, the Latin Quarter, Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysées, Sacre Coeur and Montmartre, a boat tour of the Seine… you get the idea. For some reason, the jet-lag didn’t affect me much, but poor Mal… I dragged him all over Paris!

Here are some highlights from our Paris trip…

What a great idea! And you got to do it with your best friend :) I loooved Paris when I was there for 3 short days w/ the family. We went to all the morbid places – the catacombs were the best place we visited! (ok ok the effiel tower was pretty neat) and we went to the famous cemetary where Jim Morrison (sp? from The Doors) is buried – AMAZING!

I absolutely LOVE Paris. I went there back in high school and was lucky enough to travel there for work a couple months ago and stay an extra day before coming home. I got the chance to walk ALL OVER the beautiful city by myself and had such a great time.

Looks like an amazing trip!! I dream of going to Paris, but alas, the hubby is terrified of planes.

Love the pictures! I’m definitely the go-go-go type on vacations too! I just don’t want to miss a thing.
I went to London and Paris with my husband (then boyfriend) 3 weeks after we started dating. I’ve been to both places a bunch of times and offered him to join me and he did. It was his first trip outside of the US, so it’s still a super special trip for both of us! Paris is so beautiful… I want to go back!! :)
