Painless Bridesmaid Responsibilities

January 17, 2009

We were in and out of the bridal shop in no time this afternoon! My sister already had a bridesmaid dress in mind, so we all tried it on (and loved it!), got our measurements taken, and placed our orders. We were done just like that! The whole process was quick and painless

On my way to the bridal shop, I made a travel mug of peppermint tea and grabbed a ”just-in-case” Luna bar, which I never ended up eating.

My sister picked this dress in a deep purple/burgundy. It’s so pretty and flattering!

Lunch at the Dockside

After all of our “hard work” at the bridal shop, we were hungry for lunch. The 5 of us headed to the nearby Dockside Restaurant in Malden. The Dockside is your typical sports bar with a big ol’ bar, lots of TVs, and tons of sports memorabilia on the walls.

Like your typical sports bar, the food was decent, but nothing special. For lunch, I started with a cup of coffee with 2 containers of cream and a packet of sugar mixed in.

Our table split an order of sweet potato fries, which were more fry than sweet potato. I munched on about 10 fries or so.

My main meal was the Garden House Salad, which included lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, and shredded carrots. The salad was just meh. :-|

On the side, I used some honey mustard for dipping. It had HFCS and lots of other “scary” ingredients, so I tried to limit my dips.

Now that I am home, I just snacked on two Medjool dates, and I am headed to the gym to pump some iron

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!!!

Love the dresses! Very pretty.

Question – I have the same exact mug as you and have a problem with it leaking every time I take a sip…does this happen to you too, or am I not putting the lid on right?

@Julie: I’ve had the same problem! The top is actually a screw top, so make sure you screw it down all of the way.

Oooh…very pretty dress, what a nice color! I don’t knot if it is my screen but it seems to have a bit of sage green in it? Is it just me? Either way, very nice :)

@Lara: That’s actually the sample. My sister ordered it in a plum color.

i love sweet potato fries!!! always better homemade, of course, but fries are my greasy food weakness…

and sorry about your salad! i hate it when restaurants use ice berg lettuce (where’s the spinach, arugula, baby greens…) i’ve ordered disappointing salads like that before, too
