I Love This Place

January 2, 2009

I said “I love this place” about 10 times while eating breakfast (well, brunch) at the Wheelhouse Diner this morning. Man, their food is GOOD!

For breakfast, I ordered the #1 from the menu, which includes one egg over easy,…

homefries to which I added hot sauce and ketchup,…

raisin toast with melted butter…

… and finally, hot coffee. Love it!

Simply amazing!!!

Obviously, I enjoyed my breakfast! I ate every last morsel!

Diner Decor

I love the decor inside the Wheelhouse! It’s sort of old-school with a nautical twist. Mal and I sat at the counter this morning.

The counter and stools…

The booths…

The grill…

What do you think of diners? Love ‘em? Hate ‘em?

Off to do some errands and shopping– see ya later, gators!

I think diners are a lot of fun sometimes! I love going to diners while traveling through small towns. I always feel like I’m stepping back in time. :)

Love myself a good diner, but we don’t really have any in Nashville. I love that y’all go out for breakfast together. My husband and I should do that more often. Happy Friday Tina.

Being from Jersey I of course love diners! I think I heard somewhere that New Jersey has the most diners in the entire country, in high school it was always the place to hang out.

I like diners, and would recommend Johnny’s in Newton Center if you’re ever in the area. It’s a little more than your typical diner, but the food is great!

LOVE diners. We have one here that is so tiny, from the 50s. It only seats 15 people. It’s my favorite spot for breakfast, but the little building is only like 8×20 feet so if there are no open spots, there is nowhere to wait.

Love ‘em! I think they have a bad reputation for being unhealthy, but I think it’s pretty easy to find something cheap and healthy.

Ohhh Wheelhouse is definitely one thing I miss in Boston. There is a little diner here that I used to go to all the time with my dad when I was little.. I’m thinking a trip back there is in order soon!!

I totally love diners. But they have to be good diners. :) Great eggs, toast and creative menu items are the best. Thank goodness we work out, so we can partake!
