I really, really, really want my camera back from the Geek Squad! I received another update this morning that my camera is being “Repaired.” Gaaah!! Hurry up, Geeks!! But, not having my camera has made me think outside of the box when photographing and displaying my food pics on the blog. This clementine collage looks pretty cool to me!

I ate a clementine and an Adora disk as a mid-morning snack today. When taken together, vitamin C helps with the absorption of calcium. Pretty neat, huh?
(Ugh, these yucky photos are killing me!)
The rest of lunch was a homemade salad with extra carrot sticks for dipping into sun-dried tomato hummus. I also had some leftover sweet potato fries, which I warmed-up in the microwave.
I followed-up all of those veggies with a Lemon Zest Luna Bar, which tasted like a crunchy lemon square! Yum!
Speaking of lemons, here’s a nice article about adding lemons into your winter diet. It has lots of lemony info and recipes: A Zest for Lemons.

The clementine collage is very Warhol-esque. Way to get creative!
I love lemons…have you ever tried a Meyer lemon?
Thanks for the link to that article, as somebody trying to lose weight by eating healthier it’s always nice to read up on some new information.
That collage is so cute!
I have been eyeing those luna bars for a while wondering if they taste any good! now i definatly have to buy one. lemon bars are one of my favorite treats!

Ooo looks like the white balance is way out of wack in those pics, but kudos for using them creatively!
I love lemons!! When my mom and I go out to eat we always split a lemon dessert
@Sarah (lovINmytummy): I haven’t! I’ll have to look for one next time I am at Whole Foods! I bet they’d have them, right?

Classic line = “Hurry up, Geeks!!” Hahaha!
Have a good day, girl!
Lately to cut some calories, I have been only having coffee on days I don’t go to the gym (coffee usually includes FF creamer and sugar too). That would be two days instead of 5 so that is a good change for me except today we got up at 4:30 AM and were at the gym by 6 AM so I was dragging this afternoon and had to have a cup ha ha.
Clementines are costly around here so I didn’t buy them but your collage is cute and looks yummy.
Quite an Ode to Citrus post.
Love the photo art!!
hurry up geeks! haha.
I didn’t know that about vitamin c and calcium. Good tip!
mmmm..after two posts of sweet potato fries..now I’m craving them!
To cut calories I take sweets out of the house! If they are there, I will eat them, especially after dinner if I’m bored. Also, I cut my cheese intake way down because it can get out of hand
I start every dinner with a HUGE romaine salad. Volume eating has really helped me maintain my weight.
I also have several cups of hot tea a day. I find hot tea helps me feel full.

My basics are five small meals a day, no cheese/dairy products, and I bake one sweet treat a week to enjoy
Eyeballing is the way to go when eating.
I eat well and eat often. If I get either side of that equation off, my plan backfires;P
Have you tried the cookies n’ cream luna? YUM
That’s really cool about the calcium and oranges!
My doctor recently urged me to begin taking calcium supplements (due to my recovery from an ED). I know that you use Adora, would you recommend this? How do you choose a calcium supplement? Thanks!
@Jenny: Adora disks are wonderful! And delicious! I usually eat one after breakfast in the morning, although you can eat up to 2 a day.
if you like this Luna bar you should try the lemon LARA bar, soo good!
hmmm, never heard of adora, but ive had calcium chews before, are they the same thing? i havent had them in forever, i should get on that!!
hope the geek squad can fix your camera SOON!
@emily: The lemon is one of my favorite Larabars! SO GOOD! Check out my Larabar reviews: http://carrotsncake.com/2008/10/larabar-flavor-review.html
@elise: The Adora disks are actually firm like actual chocolate. They are delicious!
I love sweet potato fries! Hopefully the Geek Squad hurries up!
Great tip about the soup. I’m big on bringing a little ziploc full of cut-up raw veggies with me to work. Then, when I get hungry or munchy, I snack away!
Cool!!!
Oh man I forgot I have a bag of those Adora disk. I better start taking them again. Thanks for the tip regarding taking it with vitamin C.
Cool pics.
pop in gum immediately after i eat, so i’m not tempted to keep eating…and eating…etc. i’m totally out of whack when it comes to stopping when full. everything just always tastes so damn good. thank god for orbit and stride.
will the geek squad show up in those stellar cars? take a pic if they do
love the artsy clems
and thanks for the reminder about the vitamin c!
Love the pics! Unfortunately, I don’t like lemony bars
Eating a big healthy breakfast is the #1 thing that helps me eat healthy and not overeat all day.
I try to minimize liquid calories so I usually drink regular coffee, instead of lates and wine instead of fancy cocktails.
Someone also mentioned tea, and I really like that as well. I drink tea plain, so that’s zero calories that fill my stomach and it’s warm which is especially nice this season
Thanks for that email on the tea tasting!
