Run, Eat, Repeat
My post title is a little shout-out for Run, Eat, Repeat!
It’s also a way to describe my Tuesday morning, which began with running, eating, and repeating what I ate yesterday for breakfast. Again, my breakfast was a magnificent bowl of cranberry loaf-bread pudding oats. This time, however, I added banana slices, which gave my oats even more sweet flavor and creamy texture. SO delish!!!
In the mix:
- 1/3 cup dry oats
- 1 small banana
- 1 slice of cranberry loaf
- 1/3 cup vanilla hemp milk
- Splash of water
Workout
The running part of my morning included a 6 mile run on the treadmill. I have no idea where my energy came from this morning, especially since I sort of struggled to get out of bed. After my run, I finished-up my workout with various upper body exercises.
Run Stats:
- Distance: 6.02 miles
- Time: 55:58
- Pace: 9:18
- Calories: 580
Upper Body Strength Training
- Lat Pull-Downs (Nautilus): 40 lbs, 15 reps, 3 sets
- Back Rows (Nautilus): 40 lbs, 15 reps, 3 sets
- Push-Ups: Body weight, 12 reps, 3 sets
- Hammer Curls: 12 lbs, 15 reps, 3 sets
- Tricep Dips: Body weight, 15 reps, 3 sets
Special Thanks
A special thanks to Peanut Butter Boy for the fun package that I received in the mail yesterday!
We recently did a peanut butter exchange: I sent him a jar of my favorite Teddie brand peanut butter, and he sent me a jar of Sunland Raspberry Peanut Butter Spread, which looks so interesting! I love fun flavor combinations like this! I bet this spread would be delicious on whole wheat, grainy bread. Mmmmm! I can’t wait to try it! Thanks, again, Nick!
Question of the Day
In keeping with the shout-outs, what and who are your favorite blogs and bloggers? Let’s get the shout-outs going!
I have TONS of favorite blogs. In fact, I have so many in my Google Reader that I can’t keep up with all of them! In July, I highlighted some of my favorite bloggers (Chandra, Kath, Arielle), and since then, the list has grown IMMENSELY! Thanks to all of you who make the food blogging world so incredibly wonderful and enjoyable to read!

Teddie Peanut Butter – I’ve never seen that. I will have to order some in Super-Chunky! I just joined the blogging world, and I already have a hard time keeping up with all the great blogs. I discover a new one everyday, and I love reading them all. I will have to check out Peanut Butter Boy. Love him already based on his name, and I would have to agree with Carolinebee. Do you use a heart rate monitor to estimate your calories, or is that the machine.
Thanks
on Dec 9th, 2008 at 10:45 am
Bridget and Allison,
I use the Nike + iPod gadget to track my distance and time. It’s so cool! The calories burned is just an estimate, but still good to know.

Rose,
I’m definitely one of those people who needs a lot of sleep. Not a lot, a lot… more like consistent sleep. I aim for at least 7-8 hours each night. I workout most mornings, so the key is getting to bed early. I usually climb in bed around 9/9:30 and read for 15-30 minutes, which relaxes me, so I usually fall sleep right away. Hope this helps!
