Turkey Day 08
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! And what a Thanksgiving it was! Today was all about family and food to the max– and, honestly, what more could you ask for?!
I thought about doing a full recap of the day, but there is just too much to talk about! Thanksgiving dinner at my grandparents’ house was a-mazing (as always)! For 20 people, we had 2 turkeys, 10 different side dishes, and 6 pies! I tried both turkeys, each of the 10 side dishes, and 3 of the pies (pecan, cranberry, and my mom’s pumpkin). Of course, all of my serving sizes were small (some were even bite-sized), but a taste was all that I needed. I wanted to try just about everything at the table, and that’s what I did! It was awesome!
After dinner, I was full, but not stuffed to the gills. Keeping my portions small prevented me from overeating, which was especially important with all of the wonderful food choices today. I probably over-did-it in the calorie department, but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed with a good, sweaty workout tomorrow. Today’s Turkey Day splurge was 110% worth it!

Beautiful Thanksgiving spread. I did kind of over do it today but I’m OK. Worked out this morning with a 55 min. spin class and 30 min. elliptical. Tired now and ready to hit the sack even though I did get an hour nap earlier.
Glad you enjoyed your day!

Happy Thanksgiving. I did really well at lunch but then dinner came and I was feeling alright but then I had to have one more small sliver of pumpkin pie and I took two bites and knew that I was over the edge. Your Thanksgiving spread looked amazing.

Beautiful pictures! I am proud to say that I also did not get too stuffed. Luckily I don’t enjoy my in-laws cooking as much, hehe! But what is this I read about a cranberry pie? Can you share the recipe?
