Barney Butter Addiction

My Barney Butter obsession has turned into an addiction!!!!! I brought a jar from home to keep in my desk at work (like I do with my peanut butter), and boy, has it been a bad decision! I can’t stop eating spoonful after spoonful of it! It’s so frickin’ delicious! This Barney Butter jar needs to go back home ASAP! It cannot be near me!

I might console you with perhaps a more embarrassing B-Butter related story: After reading your review and going to the website, I wanted to order some but fretted over the expense and wished it was sold somewhere in Boston. Flash forward to Saturday night- I come home after winning medals in the “drinking game olympics” with friends, and drunkenly ordered a jar online (almost $14 with shipping). Drunken almond butter buying. With PayPal so it’s not “real” money. Sooo classy!

I feel the same way about my PB & Co. White chocolate dreams PB. I went through a jar so fast, I decided to take some to work with me. I haven't opened it yet, we will see how long that lasts!

Barney Butter is just like regular Almond Butter right? Because I love the almond butter from TJ’s and I don’t want to be missing out on anything.

It’s supposedly really great because it doesn’t need to be stirred (no oil separation) but is still all-natural, using palm oil instead of partially hydrogenated oils as a stabilizer. (I thought palm oil wasn’t great either but it turns out it’s palm kernel oil that’s the problem)

    Beth,

It’s amazing! The consistency is like a thick, sort of grainy peanut butter, but with a roasted flavor. If you like peanuts right out of the shell, you will love Barney Butter.

    Bev,

Eliser1028 was right on about the palm oil preventing the Barney Butter from separating. For more info, check out the ‘Nutrition’ tab on the Barney Butter website.

    Runeatrepeat,

I think it’s better than regular almond butter! It has a more roasted flavor to it.
